The Orange County Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers serves chemical engineers who live or work in Orange County.  OC-AIChE actively promotes the professional growth of both its members and technical professionals from a wide variety of disciplines.  We encourage everyone to come to our monthly meetings, where you will hear speakers discuss topics of interest to both technical professionals and the community as a whole.  Topics range from the proposed desalination plant in Huntington Beach to the new fuel cell car developed by Honda.  Students are particularly welcome.

Who, What and Why Are We

This Web site is provided as a service to the members of the section and all other engineering professionals. Click on the links at the left to get more details.  In addition to the information provided on this web site, you are encouraged to attend our quarterly dinner meetings, which are described below.  There is no substitute for meeting real people and having real conversations.  Whether you are happily employed and love your job, retired, thinking about changing your career, a student or unemployed, you should attend our meetings.  To broaden your networking opportunities, all of our meetings are joint meeting with the Los Angeles County Section of AIChE.  At our January 27, 2009 meeting, we had over sixty attendees from both Los Angeles and Orange County. 

Meeting Information

Dinner meetings are held four times a year at Khoury's Restaurant, located at 110 Marina Drive in Long Beach, right on Alamitos Bay.  For 2010, meetings are scheduled for January 19, April 20, July 28 and October 19.  Registration starts at 5:45 PM.  To obtain more information about our next meeting, simply click on the "Next Meeting" link on the left-hand side of this page.  Please make your reservations by the Friday prior to the meeting, using e-mail: dalebotts@roadrunner.com , or by calling (714) 686-2791.
